In October, I climbed into a fixed-position treestand that I had secured in place earlier in the day. That evening, I climbed back into it and attached my Hunter Safety System vest to the tree. As I turned around to get my release from my backpack, I felt my treestand give way. Instincts are normally to grab for the tree but it’s hard to explain just how fast all this happened. My Hunter Safety System caught me instantly and I watched as my treestand crashed to the ground.
Your vest definitely saved my life that day. I have a wife and two kids at home that join me in saying thanks for such a great product! All my hunting buddies are buying one after seeing how well it works. It’s a life-saver!

I had seen your product used on several hunting shows on "The Outdoor Channel" and purchased your system just before the season started this year because at the age of 44, I realized I needed to be more careful. Little did I know I would need it so soon! I don't know that your product saved my life, but it did save me from injury and it did save my hunt. On a recent trip to Kansas to hunt whitetails, I was in the fourth day of my hunt and reached my stand just before sun-up. I hooked my "Pro Series" vest to my "Life-line" and started to climb. When I reached for one of my steps, my hand slipped and I fell backwards about 8 to 10 feet. The life-line broke my fall and the strap on my vest slowed the fall, preventing what could have been a serious injury. Your product worked exactly as advertised and performed fantastically!! And as it turns out, what could have been a bad day of hunting turned out to be my most successful hunt ever! After regaining my composure following the fall I got back into my stand and 1.5 hours later I shot the best deer of my life, a real nice 10 pointer!! I just wanted to say "Thanks" for a great product!! It's well worth the cost. You have a loyal customer for life, and I am strongly recommending your product to all of my friends who hunt.

Early on the morning of Nov. 9, I climbed into my favorite portable treestand. I had spent many hours on it and have shot many animals from it. About 3 hours into the second day of my Kansas trophy hunt, all seemed well, but just a second later, I was hanging by my Hunter Safety System. My first thought was “Thank you God” and my next was “Thank you Hunter Safety System.” I got down from the tree without a scratch and went on to hunt the rest of the week.. My stand failed but your safety vest did not! It kept me from almost certain injury. This out-of-state hunt turned out to be a great memory and not a NIGHTMARE! Thanks again for a great product. It probably is the best hunting equipment purchase I have ever made and a lot cheaper than the alternative. Thanks again!

Dear Jerry, John & Jim,
I’m writing to thank you for producing the Hunter Safety System. On Nov. 28, the opening day of Pennsylvania rifle season, I climbed a tree that I had picked the day before. At around 6:15 a.m. I was pulling the seat on my stand up when suddenly the stand slipped out from under me. The Hunter Safety System caught me. The stand had gone the whole way to the ground leaving me no chance of getting out of the situation on my own. I used my radio to call my father-in-law for help. We estimated that I had been hanging there for about 30 minutes. I had no trouble breathing while hanging from my harness and returned to the ground just a little stiff and sore. After a while, we calmed down enough to continue hunting. At 10:30 I took my first PA buck after 19 years of trying.
Once again, my family and I would like to thank you for the Hunter Safety System and my father-in-law for buying it for me last Christmas.

As I mentioned to you on the phone today, early this month, I was sitting in my treestand when the straps on my seat broke. This turned it into a slide of sorts and away I went. It would have shot me right off the front of my stand if not for the Hunter Safety System. What could have ended my life turned into just a momentary scare. I realized that I was unhurt and surprisingly comfortable for a guy who was embarrassed, thankful and hanging so high up in a tree.
Because of the video “Safe Treestand Hunting”, which I had gotten from Treestand Manufacturer’s Association, and your instructions, I had the vest/harness on properly and was able to lift one foot onto the stand and step back into it. As I stood there, I said a prayer of thanksgiving for my Hunter Safety System and for my wife taking me to the Harrisburg, PA. Show last February to get it.

As I said to you on the phone, me, my wife and all my kids want to thank you and your company for making your safety harness vest. Until I got this one as a gift I never used a harness of any kind. About two weeks ago, I took the day off work and went hunting. I had used my climbing treestand for several years and had no reason to think it shouldn’t be used this day either. I followed your instructions to keep my strap around the tree as I climbed. Once I got about 25 feet up in the tree, the bar that I was sitting on as I climbed broke throwing me off the stand backward. Because of your vest, all I did was swing to the tree and not to the ground. I was able to get back onto my stand safely. Falling backward for 25 feet would have killed me sure or at least messed me up real bad. Thank you for a great product!

I was standing in it one minute and the next thing I knew, I was hanging by my vest. Last Christmas my family bought me one of your reversible vests. I had been wanting one for a while and was sure glad to get it. You are right in your advertisements ‘cause it certainly works! I have been hunting out of the same treestand for several years without any problems. On one of my hunts this past October, a board that was holding a side up broke. Needless to say, had I not had your vest on, I would have discovered just how quickly a person can hit the ground. I was able to turn around and get back onto the ladder safely. Please relay my thanks to everyone at Hunter Safety System Co. My safety vest saved my life last night! I was about 20 feet up a tree and coming down when the bottom platform came completely off the tree as I was standing on it. I have not checked it yet to see why it broke but the harness caught me as I fell. I was hanging there and could not get the bottom part of my stand back around the tree and fastened. All my weight was being held by the harness and you know I am a BIG guy (6’2”, 325 LBS)! I wanted to let you know that the harness did it’s job and allowed me to keep from free-falling and getting seriously hurt. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me in 24 years of hunting and the first year I’ve worn a safety harness. I, as well as my wife are thankful that I had yours! Thanks again.

On my second hunt with my new treestand, I should have realized something wasn’t right when it felt easier than before coming down with it. On the second step down, the stand broke and was no longer fastened to the tree. My safety vest had me so I had time to think about how to get down. I got my cell phone out to call someone but got no reception so I cut my vest strap. Without the vest, I would have come down in an unprepared fall onto the stand and my bow. I’ve been taking it easy lately, but seem to be fine now. It was a freak accident.

In November, I was hunting with an outfitter in Missouri. At about 4:00 p.m. I started to stand up in my treestand when I heard a snap. All of a sudden, I realized I was hanging from my Hunter Safety System vest. Once I realized what had happened I began to figure out how to get down. I looked back at the tree and was able to reach over and grab the ladder. Once I reached it, all kinds of bad thoughts began running through my head. The what ifs and so on. After calming down, I was able to climb up, retrieve my muzzleloader and backpack and climb down. As a hunter, people always think that this won’t happen to me, but I found out that it definitely can. I want to thank everyone who designed and sold this vest/harness. It definitely saved me from serious injury or death. My wife and daughter thank everyone as well!

Thank you for making such a fine product! Last year, I bought three of your safety vests for my son-in-laws and myself. The second time my son-in-law used his vest, it saved him from serious injury or death. While climbing a tree with a climbing treestand, he had an owl come off a limb at him in the early dawn. This startled him and knocked him out of his stand. His vest, which he used while climbing broke his fall. Other than a few bumps, he was fine thanks to the Hunter Safety System. Again, thank you for creating a product that possibly saved a family tragedy.

I have been using your reversible vest here while hunting in PA, and it saved me this past December. I was going up my tree in the dark using my climbing treestand. There was a difficult protrusion from the trunk where a limb had been that takes some manipulation to get past with the lower part of my stand. When climbing the tree this particular morning, my base slipped and dropped out of reach taking me along with it through the upper part of the stand. The vest really worked! I fell a couple feet and it caught me as designed. In fact, the fairly comfortable hold it provides allowed me to collect myself and safely get down. Your system really works and I won’t go up, down or stay in a tree without it!

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to tell you my story on what happened to me on the opening morning of Pennsylvania’s rifle deer hunt. After taking my second shot at the same, nice 8-pointer I had missed during archery season, I realized that I was no longer standing in my treestand. Instead, I was hanging below it. While trying to get off the second shot, I slipped off the stand in the middle of the excitement. Luckily for me, I had my Hunter Safety System on, which certainly saved me from serious injury or death. After realizing what had just happened to me, I grabbed the bottom of my treestand and pulled myself back into it and climbed down the tree. I want to thank your company for making a reliable product that works.
